Are you interested in becoming a Board Director with WayAhead?

WayAhead is calling for nominations for the election of one (1) Board Member.

WayAhead is the second oldest mental health charity in NSW and has a long history of furthering the interests of people who experience mental health issues and promoting community wellbeing. Board directors need to be a full member of WayAhead and committed to the vision of the organisation and to furthering the goals outlined in the 2020-23 Strategic Plan. Board directors serve a three-year term.

People with lived experience of mental health issues are encouraged to apply.

The WayAhead Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held at Level 2 Building C, 33 Saunders St, Pyrmont, NSW 2009, and via Zoom, on Tuesday 22nd November 2022.

To nominate for the board please complete the nominations form no later than 5pm on Tuesday 8th November 2022.

Please note you must be a financial member of WayAhead to be eligible to stand for a board position, to nominate and to vote in the election. A financial member is a member who pays a membership fee to become a member. You can become a financial member or renew a membership here.

      The following information is collected for the purposes of ascertaining whether a nominee is eligible to participate as a board member of the WayAhead Mental Health Association NSW as regulated under Commonwealth law.

      • I am not disqualified from managing a corporation, within the meaning of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) and
      • I have not been disqualified by the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commissioner at any time during the previous year from being a responsible person of a charity.

      If in the event that I become a responsible person for WayAhead, I agree to notify WayAhead as soon possible if I do become disqualified from managing a corporation within the meaning of the Corporations Act 2001, or am disqualified by the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commissioner. ‘Responsible persons’ are the members of a charity’s governing body, who share responsibility for the governance of the charity (called ‘responsible entities’ under the ACNC Act.)
