“In 80 years, we have been at the cutting edge of advocacy to change the ways mental health care is delivered; with dignity and respect. Our Members over the years have been active and vocal in lobbying for change in the mental health area – from changes to legislation, complaints and inquiries into health care practice, development of new models of mental health care, promotion of mental health, and support for particular groups of people in the community who are seeking a voice in their own care and treatment.”
Dr Meg Smith, President of the Board
Members support our activities or inspire new ones, particularly in rural and remote areas, with opportunities to have a say in our organisation.
Membership is open to all, including individuals, families and community organisations, with many options, including a free affiliate membership.
WayAhead Workplaces Network Membership
We help improve the health of Australia’s working population by resourcing and supporting organisations to create healthy workplaces.
Join the WayAhead Workplaces Network
WayAhead Workplaces is for anyone who has responsibility for, or is interested in, promoting employee health and wellbeing within their own organisation. This includes professionals in human resources, occupational health and safety, employee health and wellbeing, injury management, return to work, and learning and development, as well as nurses and psychologists.
“It has been a pleasure to be part of WayAhead Workplaces. The learning and networking opportunities have been invaluable for both me and my colleagues at Australia Post.”
Heather Henwood, Australia Post
Our membership includes private, government and charity organisations from a range of sectors, including legal and financial services, health, community and education.
We also have online-only memberships for those who work anywhere in Australia outside of Sydney and Brisbane, where we hold our meetings.
